I was born on May 20, 1949 in Ulukışla District of Niğde. Due to my father’s civil service, I completed my primary and secondary school in different districts of the country. I graduated from Konya Ereğli High School in 1965. I entered Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine the same year and graduated in 1970. After a four-month Sivas Central Veterinary Medicine position, I was appointed as an assistant to Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Animal Science Department in February 1971. After returning home, I completed my thesis at Lalahan Animal Science Research Institute and received the title of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. In 1982, I completed the necessary procedures and became an associate professor. In the same year, I was appointed to Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Reproduction. In 1988, I received the title of University Professor.

MY ACADEMIC STUDIES

1- In 1974, I worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Physiology of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Technical University of Munich for one year. In the meantime, I worked at the Obstetrics Clinic of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and at the Veterinary Department of the South German Dairy Cooperative. I completed the preliminary work for my doctoral thesis on the freezing of ram sperm in liquid nitrogen at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Farm.

2- In 1991, I was a visiting professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Giessen, Germany, and in 1995 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Munich as a DAAD Scholar, giving lectures and conferences.

MY ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

1- I served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Uludağ University between 1984-1991 and as the Dean between 1991-1995.

2- I served as a member of the Senate, Board of Directors, Horizontal Transfer Commission, Strengthening Foundation and Research Fund at Uludağ University.

MY PROFESSIONAL DUTIES

1- I served as a member of the Board of Directors, Secretary General and President of the Veterinary Association at various times.

2- I served as the president of the Bursa Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons between 1884-1991.

3- I served as the Secretary General of the Organizing Committee in three national Livestock Congresses and one technical Congress.

4– Leader of Dancing Bears Rehabilitation Project in Bursa (1992-1994)

5– Member of Cattle Breeding Commission of Ministry of Agriculture (1991-1992)

MY EDUCATIONAL DUTIES

1- I taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Ankara, Fırat and Selçuk Universities Veterinary Faculties and Uludağ University Veterinary and Agriculture Faculties.

2- I taught courses at Eskişehir Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Veterinary Associate Degree Program.
